It was François Jullien COUTTET, blacksmith and farrier who between 1887 and 1897 built this 80-room hotel in the heart of rue Vallot.
The Hôtel de l'Europe was built in 1897, it was the Belle Époque!
It functioned until the end of the 1950s and was then transformed, over time, into apartments.
